Led by 20+ year sports industry executive Kevin Cote, Inbound Play Consulting (IPC) specializes in the intersection of sports and technology. Its mission is to empower sports organizations, athletes and tech companies to achieve their full potential by providing innovative solutions, industry expertise, go-to-market strategies, sales plays, fundraising support and strategic partnerships. With an intense focus on the power of collaboration and the impact it can have on driving revenue, IPC works with clients in a variety of spaces, including AI, data/analytics, XR, software, mobile apps, loyalty, social media, digital marketing, public relations, advertising, sales and more.
KEVIN COTE - FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Having served as a leader at rising and successful companies, including the Golden State Warriors and Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Kevin has expertise in defining, evolving and executing strategic initiatives, while generating revenue and building teams from the ground up.
With the Warriors, Kevin spent 11 seasons building and leading the organization’s award-winning, industry-leading digital department. His tenure spanned two ownership groups and coincided with the rise of both digital/social media and the team’s ascension into becoming NBA champions.
Excited about further transforming the sports and tech world, Kevin joined Meta (fka Facebook) in 2015, with the opportunity and challenge of helping build out sports partnerships across the globe and representing the company’s entire family of apps and services (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus/Quest VR). Over the course of eight years, his role involved leading multiple teams, consulting with hundreds of partners (athletes, teams, leagues, broadcasters, creators, etc), brokering content acquisition deals, executing GTM product strategies and speaking at events around the world.
Passionate about making a difference in the community, Kevin also attempts to bring innovative leadership to the youth teams he coaches in multiple sports (with admittedly varying results). And on the basketball sidelines, he takes pride in drawing up a good inbound play! He is also a National Leadership Council member for Positive Coaching Alliance, and a Board Member for My Hometown Heroes.
